HOLIDAY DECOR

Happy Newsletter day!

Guess what? I officially finished Christmas shopping… yesterday. Shopping malls are extremely packed right now, but I totally understand because I procrastinated and didn’t get everything in time either. haha!

So far I have hosted a total of 3 holiday parties.. and I am TIRED. I love hosting so much, but like mentioned in last week’s newsletter it takes a lot out of you especially since I feel as though my house is constantly cluttered so I have to clean basically every day. However, I love having all my friends and family over to enjoy my holiday decorations!

One of my favorite decors this month is my trio tree set! I wanted to put trees in front of every window that neighbors or anyone walking by can see! These down trees are so simple and cute. I also put a blanket that I had down to cover the bottom, which is a great alternative if you don’t have a tree skirt. I linked these trees on my LTK page and also included other dupes! Pro tip, if you have all these big trees in your house, I recommend keeping the boxes it came in so you can restore them in the box and stack them away when you’re done using them!

Directly in front of my trees are my shelves! This took me the longest to put together because I couldn’t decide what looked best. Remember when shelving, it’s best to go in groups of threes and start from the top down. On my top shelf I have my mirror and 2 different shapes / sizes vases. I added some greenery and red berries for some festive colors. From there I worked down to the village. I did 2 groups of threes and 2 trees to, again, add some color. Then I added the snowmen to the left of it. Which by the way, many people weren’t aware were snowmen.. I thought it was quite obvious, but who knows! haha. Then last but not least, for the bottom shelf I definitely wanted to leave the wine glasses / wine bottles there because we utilize that shelf as our bar area. I added the garland in the back with any disco ball ornaments I had left from my Christmas tree and put these cute reindeers I found from Target (to be honest this is my #1 favorite addition to my holiday collection). However, remember decorating is totally up to YOU and what YOU like! There is no concrete rules, so just enjoy and have fun! Again, everything here is linked on my LTK page!

Lastly, I wanted my beautiful FermLiving pond mirror to have its moment as well. Right when you entire my home the first thing you see is the mirror since it’s at the very top of my stairs. For Halloween I had the bats and now for Christmas I have a real garland that I got from Safeway for $20 and a red berry garland I got from Target last year! I simply wrapped the 2 garlands around one another and place it on my mirror. I used a wire to attach the garland and the mirrors together to ensure it would stay in place. Then voila all done!

Christmas is only 4 days away! I hope you are excited for this break and get to spend quality time with your friends and family. However, for those that find this holiday time to be quite difficult just know that you’re definitely not alone and I’m here with you! Whether you’re with others or alone, grab a glass of wine, take a bath, and just RELAX! You deserve it!

Until next time (:

xoxo,

Kathleen
