Girl Nursery

I’ve definitely reached the age where either my friends are getting engaged, married, or pregnant. And I LOVE IT! I got to do my first ever girl nursery and make it as girly as it can get. Originally, we were thinking of neutrals but as we slowly started putting the mood boards together we figured lets go all out!

The room was a good size nursery. The only challenge was that there were 3 doors in the room, which limited our number of layout possibilities. For the paint, we originally wanted to limewash the walls, but due to the wall texture we decided against it and used regular paint instead. My must was that we paint the ENTIRE room, ceiling included, which made the room feel larger.

Pale Pendant Lamp, the Precious
Quilted Storage Basket - Riverbank - Unfortunately they don’t ship to the states, but here is another cute one: Pompom Canvas Bin. (P.S. Don’t ask me how I got these baskets to my client’s….)

The paint color is a color match from Color Atelier native. As mentioned, we originally were going to limewash the room. Thus we got the limewash sample and decided to do regular paint. Lowe’s was able to color match our paint, and it turned out amazing. Huge shout out to Ron from Lowes!!

This was the final mood board that we created. As I always say, it’s a slow and steady process as you want to make sure that you’re selecting items that you can keep for years to come. We absolutely LOVE the outcome and I couldn’t be any happier. Friendly reminder that I get a discounts in most places, so if you work with me I’ll be providing you my services + discounts! If you’re currently on the journey of designing your own nursery, I hope this helps and CONGRATS!

xoxo,
Kathleen
